The names of the finalists who will be participating in the 2020 edition of the Miss Inspire SA pageant were announced last week.
The ladies gathered together at the Business Place in Jozi SME Hub Central Johannesburg, to receive their sashes and further directions as they head towards the March finale.
Each year the Miss Inspire SA National Pageant celebrates the crowning of an Inspirational young woman and Teen in South Africa. The pageant is divided into four categories namely; Miss Inspire SA Woman which features women within ages 25 to 45 yrs old; Miss Inspire SA Queen – ages 18 to 29 yrs old; Miss Inspire SA Teen – ages 13 to 18 yrs old and Miss Inspire SA Junior ages 9 to 12 yrs old.
“We aspire to inspire young girls to engage in meaningful initiatives and to focus on self-development and building positive role models in our communities,” says Tshuma.
Tshuma also said the pageant celebrates strong and committed young women who are willing to represent the community as a goodwill ambassador, becoming a role model of today while strengthening our country for tomorrow. The enemy facing our youth today is multi-layered, for example unemployment, peer pressure and teen pregnancy. Often this leads to alcohol and drug abuse, making core problems harder to identify and leading to poor decision making.
The crowning and main event will be held on the 28th of March 2020 at the Boat Deck, Lakeside Mall in Benoni, Gauteng
