Amor Celebrates Women’s Month By Uplifting Women Enterpreneurs In Communities

August has been identified as South Africa’s Women’s Month – with various celebrations taking place throughout the country. As part of these celebrations, Amor is running an initiative that will see people nominate women within their communities who successfully run businesses for one to receive a donation from the small flower retailer.

Amor Floral Boutique is a luxury online retailer that proudly designs, creates, and delivers bespoke bouquets. Using the power of social media and a competition style for its Women’s Month campaign, Amor is highlighting women by allowing the public to profile and nominate entrepreneurs who play a pivotal role as leaders – using this month to highlight the important stature women hold in communities.

Women continue to be at the forefront success with 47% of South African SME’s being led by women and with 58% of students in universities being female. Amor has been active in championing the celebration of women and ensuring this month is an uplifting amplification of the many roles they play.

General Manager for Amor, Mbalenhle Njoko had this to say on the initiative; “As a women-led business, we at Amor know just how important flowers are for special occasions. This women’s month, we’d like to gift bouquets of flowers as well as share stories about women entrepreneurs who are game changers in their communities and within the various industries they lead.” Calling on the public to participate in the initiative, Amor Floral Boutique will be supporting a woman-led business. “We’d like anyone to tell us more about a business and the woman/women behind its success that qualifies them to receive our public donations,” said Mbalenhle Njoko.

To get involved simply nominate a woman entrepreneur on Amor’s social media pages and donate R100 to Amor for the support of their business. A winner will be chosen at the end of Women’s Month and announced in early September.
