Nestlé Shares The Love During Ramadan in South Africa

Every year, in the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, millions of Muslims around the world observe the holy month of Ramadan, which runs between 13 April until 12 May 2021.  The holy month is considered to be the most sacred month of the year for the Muslim community. This year, three of South Africa’s most loved culinary solutions, NESTLÉ RECIPES WITH LOVE, NESTLÉ COCOA and NESTLÉ KLIM join the Muslim community in celebrating Ramadan.

Radaman is not only a month of spiritual discipline, fasting, extra prayer but also a time of increased charity, generosity and the exchange of gifts between loved ones over delicious and elaborate feasts.

“Through the #DelightfullyMzansi #CelebrateTogetherness campaign, our NESTLÉ RECIPES WITH LOVE, NESTLÉ COCOA and NESTLÉ KLIM collaborated to celebrate the holy month by offering consumers a chance to win a SMEG Mixer worth R7500 and weekly prizes.  Consumers can submit their Ramadan recipes to be featured in a Digital Recipe Book which will be made available to the public”, says Yovini Moodley, Business Executive Officer, Dairy, Nestlé South Africa.

Through its three iconic brands, Nestlé is calling on consumers to nominate deserving families to win a one-of-a-kind Ramadan Gift Box to make memorable food moments during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations, also known as ‘the Festival of the Breaking of the Fast’ to mark the end of Ramadan.

“This year we want to give back to our consumers by adding that special touch on cooking and baking occassions during Eid.  With the Ramadan Gift Box, we want to make Ramadan special to deserving consumers to be able create food memories with their loved ones,” added Moodley.
