NS Impact Foundation & Dj Zinhle Launch Indlovu Short Film

Building further on the inspirational message behind the current hit song, Multi Award-winning musician DJ Zinhle and NS Impact Foundation hosted friends and family for the premiere Indlovu short film

The DJ powerhouse has partnered with NS Impact Foundation to co-executive produce the short film, which is premiers on channels on 26 March 2021. The collaboration between the two sets out to use current struggles to remind encourage everyone of their ability to overcome, pushing a powerful message of perseverance and empowerment on the music visual.

Joined by the likes of Maps Maponyane, Nomuzi Mabena, DJ Tira, Thabsie, DJ Speedsta, Julius Malema and more, CEO of NS Impact Nosipho Fakude and DJ Zinhle welcomed guests whilst sharing the inspiration behind the song, and the story in creating the video. Black Motion and Idols contestants performed for all in attendance.

Nosipho Fakude announced Maps Maponyane and DJ Zinhle as NS Impact Foundation Ambassadors – who will also head down to Durban for their Breaking Bread Good Friday Project aimed at feeding over 1000 in the Kwa-Mashu Community. She further spoke about the core values that aligned with the messaging behind the song Indlovu that lead to creating the short film with DJ Zinhle and director Zolani Phakade. She went on to say, “As NS Impact Foundation we are working on a few projects that aim to empower, inspire and encourage each aspect of our community.  We wanted to appreciate the same beliefs of hope that we hold at NS Impact Foundation which are found in the song – this is what led to the collaboration of this visual story of Indlovu with DJ Zinhle and Loyiso.”

Ringing Nosipho’s thoughts, DJ Zinhle had this to say on the partnership for the short film, “Over the years I have built a great relationship with NS Impact Foundation and this extends to their projects. I’m proud to serve as an ambassador for the Foundation and look forward to working together to drive the continuous message of hope and encouragement that restores pride – which is also what Indlovu is all about.” She went on to add, “I’m so happy that we were able to share the same view and come together to create this impactful music video. Thank you to my beloved friends, family and fans for their support – the film is now out to inspire you all.”

Matching the lyrical depth of the track together with the synth soundscape associated with DJ Zinhle, the synopsis of the short film tells a story of youth and the struggle faced by South Africans who are unemployed graduates that, through ongoing inspiration, end up creating their own opportunities.

DJ Zinhle, Maps Maponyane and NS Impact foundation will be in Durban on 02 April for their Breaking Bread project to feed thousands in Kwa Mashu. To join them as they give dignity to the less fortunate, simply follow NS Impact for more details.
