Kutlwano Mthembu Launches Luxury Skin Care Brand, Luminescent Elixir
Kutlwano Mthembu is a young female entrepreneur, born and bred in Johannesburg. She is a young woman who loves to delve into different opportunities and find learning curves around life’s adventures. As a young lady, her family moved around a lot, so she had to adapt to many cultures and different social brackets that she could easily day adapt to. A lover of live and good things, she has created her own organic skin and wellness care range, Luminescent Elixir.
Made locally with love in South Africa, Luminescent Elixir has a range of body butters that come in two flavours “Citronella Rosebud” and “Lavender Lemongrass Flirt”. Both smell absolutely divine and have a series of beneficial advantages for the skin. From healing dry chapped skin, heat/dry rash, reducing eczema and psoriasis, reducing appearance of present and past stretch marks for new mothers and people dealing with weight gain orloss.
The oils and ingredients infused in the body butter are all organic and the avocado oil used is vegan. These butters can also be used for massage therapy, as a body lotion/oil, and can help as a hand and feet recovery lotion when your hands are from being dry or chapped, as well as a hair butter. The ingredients are beneficial to healthy glowing hair and hair growth.
Unlike most body butters that include Shea Butter and feel heavy on the skin; thus staining your clothes or making it hard to apply makeup, Luminescent Elixir body butter has a non greasy feel which makes it easier to melt as soon they touch your hand and sink right into your skin. Each butter costs R250 and R100 courier.

Kutlwano shares some beauty and health tips, “Honestly I feel like drinking water and including it in your daily diet helps a lot. Since I’ve started using this butter on my face twice a week in my night routine I’ve seen a huge difference. Also, meditation helps to avoid stress as stress can cause imbalance to your hormones and speeds up the appearance of aging.” She continues to state that, “if you’ve had a hectic day write down what is troubling you, release it and deal with it the next day.
