The R&B musician who uses her music to express herself and to share life experiences, is also known as Preciious Angel and hails from Giyani, Limpopo.
She visited the Blazon Magazine offices in Braamfontein for a quick chat about her rising music career and her involvement in the clothing business.
Why did you go into the Clothing business?
I got into the clothing business simply because I love fashion and I have always followed trends and I really love styling people. I was also inspired by my late father, Jackie Siweya, who had a boutique and growing up I began to live his legacy.
How has the journey been so far?
The journey has been awesome. It’s just been a year and the client base has been increasing in numbers. I’ve also had few celebrities supporting the business, more and more creatives are getting to know about the business which has given me the opportunity to work on a Reality TV show as a stylist.
How do you deal with competitors in the online boutique industry?
It’s very challenging most especially when most of us happen to sell the same things online; but what made it easy for me was to market different and also move in a different direction – by getting publicity on TV by different characters.
Some people have complained about ladies collecting money but never delivering, don’t you think it gives a bad image to black entrepreneurs in the field?
As a business person you always need to keep to your word and protect your image! It is very bad to own a business, collect money and never deliver, trust is earned. There is a saying that goes, love what you do and do what you love, and I always make sure I keep my customers happy.
When did you decide to go into music?
I decided to get into music last year November. I never thought I would ever be a musician or would singing for anyone; it was all because of a heart break from a man I loved and he left me on the day of lobola negotiations. I also had a vision of how my lyrics should be that’s when it all made sense and decided to make a song that can talk to many heart broken women.
What genre will you classify yourself?
I would classify myself as a R&B and Afrobeats musician but I’m open to try other genres.
“I Don’t Want You No More” dropped last year, how did it perform?
My first single was dropped last year featuring a well known artist named Dash Hesh titled “I don’t want you no more“ it has been going great, it opened doors for me. I got featured on Daily Sun news paper and also doing radio interviews also made more artist wanting to work with me.
When should we expect something from you next?
I believe music is about learning and growing, I should be releasing a single in the month of July titled ” No Drama” and I’m also working on an EP as I want people to know more of my music.

Who are your role models in the music industry?
My role models are female artists who always have a story to tell behind every song; the likes of Thabsie and Beyonce and many more.
Tell us about your background
My background was very simple, I am the only girl at home among three brothers and I think that made me love being indoors. You would always find me indoors focusing on school work, never played much as a child most especially because I grew up at a boarding school.
