Early Christmas for St Theresa’s Children’s Home, thanks to Telkom Knockout Tournament

In the spirit of Chrismas and goodwill, the Telkom Knockout Tournament supported by the Telkom Foundation, will be dropping off Christmas food parcels and stationery to St Theresa’s children’s home on Friday in Durban.

The Telkom Foundation has over the years been involved in community corporate social investment initiatives across the country.

Telkom, believes that no one should be left behind, therefore It is extending a helping hand to the children of St Theresa’sto give them a festive to remember.

“We chose the St Theresa’s Home because of the wonderful work that they do for vulnerable children. The Telkom Foundation has a passion to uplift communities, that’s why we took the opportunity to partner with Telkom Knockout Legends, Siphiwe Mkhonza and Lucky Lekgwathi to bring a smile the the  children of St Theresa’s Home. The Home is in dire need of funding and any support and we hope that our contribution today will make a difference in their lives, says Telkom Foundation CEO Sarah Mthintso.

The legends are in town for the Telkom Knockout Tournament finals, which returns to Durban after four years. The match between Maritzburg United and Mamelodi Sundowns  will be held on Saturday 14 December 2019 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

“I am excited to be part of the legends that will be going to St Theresa’s Home. The festive season is about spending time with loved ones and creating amazing memories. I am glad that the gifts will put a smile on the faces of the children,” says Lucky Lekgwathi.
