AEMO COLLABORATES WITH MARIECHAN ON ‘DIE FOR YOU’
Malawian-South African singer and producer, AEMO, teams up with songstress Mariechan to give us a soulful duet on ‘DIE FOR YOU’. The song details two lovers who are proclaiming their undying love for one another, coupled with light pop synths giving off a Caribbean feel sure to get you ready for spring time romance. Mariechan’s effortless vocals and Aemo’s flow is reminiscent of the early 2000’s creating bae vibes.
As a child, Aemo demonstrated a natural vocal ability but lacked the necessary encouragement to pursue music professionally. It was only after getting his Marketing degree from The London Centre of Marketing that he seriously considered music as a career and decided to pursue it full-time.
His talents have been recognized both locally and internationally, gaining commercial representation where he has gone on to work with top producers such as Ice Jay (Canada), SAMA award winner Alexis Faku, Fab Faya (France), Daniel K (United Kingdom) and Ahuche Chika (Nigeria).
One of Aemo’s career highlights so far is co-writing on Jamaican reggae artist Orisha Sound’s hit single ‘World War 3’ which features global superstar Beenie Man.
