The Consul-General, Godwin Adama commissioned the Exclusive Make Over Studio at the Hill in Johannesburg South on Saturday. The event was attended by high profile guests and dignitaries across the city.
Shortly after 1 pm, The event kicked off with an introduction by the MC Que’ Sarawan. Saxokay led the guest entourage with a melodious ‘Ise Oluwa’ tune to the entrance for the procession of the grand opening. The Consul-General gave his remarks about the business and the owners, he was really impressed by the uniqueness of the business as well as the ambiance of the premises.
The ribbon cutting ceremony offered an opportunity to meet key leaders in the community and acquaintances with the neighbors and industry members. Nonceba Ajibade, co-founder of the business welcomed everyone in her speech. She gave a history of the business, a description of the services that are offered. She also invited the guest to come in and take a tour of the facility. ” The services at the Exclusive Make Over Studio are for females only,” said Nonceba.
Four models walked the runway with a showcase of their fashion with an emphasis on their hair and makeup. The models were styled by Lerato Mbatha from styled by Leramzo, a classy and elegant stylist based in Johannesburg. Phumzile Mchunu Ka Kambule popularly known as Queen Licious also made the hair and makeup for the models. Some of the guests also had manicure treatment and as well as appointment bookings.
Another session of music was enjoyed by the guest which was performed by Saxokay and Thandeka.
One of the highlights of the event was the diverse cuisines to celebrate the continent’s rich flavors that were served by Valerie from Freshly Baked.
