ANC celebrates its 107 years in Durban
Durban – The African National Congress (ANC) turns exactly 107 years since its existence, and the party’s top six from the President, Deputy President, National Chairperson, Secretary General, Deputy Secretary General and National spokesperson are campaigning for the party’s big celebration on Saturday the 12th of January 2019. The main celebration will take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, the 2019 election manifesto will also be launched on the big day.
The party’s 14th President, Cyril Ramaphosa was in Durban this morning, walking from the City Hall to The Methodist Church of Southern Africa for a prayer. The President was escourted by the church leadership and brass band alongside the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Provincial chairperson of the ANC as well as MEC of Economic Development and Tourism Sihle Zikalala.
ANC spokesperson Zizi Kodwa and the head of elections Fikile Mbalula were also spotted outside the church to well the President.
The party is expected to do a lot of campaigning in the province before its celebration day. Its volunteers have been seen in all corners of Durban distributing pamphlets and inviting people to the manifesto. Former President Jacob Zuma has been actively involved in the campaigns and is also expected to be at the manifesto on Saturday.
