Tanzanian born stand-up comedian, multiple fashion award winner and actor, Idris Sultan is a force to be reckoned with.
We were first introduced to him through Big Brother Africa – a competition he not only won but helped him discover his passion for comedy.
“When tasked to explore our inner talents in the Big Brother house, I performed stand-up comedy and to my surprise, I killed it and inspired myself’’, Idris explains. He has never looked back since and has won the hearts of many through his comedy.
The content of his comedy is informed by the issues that people encounter but find difficult to address. Idris uses his platform as a comedian to not only address these issues but to make sure that people are laughing out loud while confronting life’s daily struggles.
In addition to helping people unravel complex issues through comedy, Idris Sultan is a UN Pan African Ambassador who stands to safeguard the youth’s rights as he believes that the youth needs a say on the world they are to be left with.
Furthermore, Idris is the first Tanzanian to be casted to act in two Hollywood movies, a platform he intends to use to portray the real Africa that many have failed to portray.
It is without a doubt that this young man’s multiple talents and dedication will yield fruits of success and pave the way for those who wish to pursue careers in the entertainment industry. If there is any truth in the saying,
