World Renowned beer – Heineken hosted an epic event, ‘A taste of Tokyo to Durban’ on Saturday the 17th of November 2018 at one of Durban’s hippist venues, The Werehouse.
Upon entry, guests were welcomed by bright pops of green and red lightings which automatically symbolised the Heineken brand all across the venue.
Elements of Japanese Pop Culture and Tokyo’s night-life were the focus of the event but eccentric details such as Japanese inspired food to the Geisha-like inspired theme waitrons were dressed in, definitely masked an international feel with everyone at the event.
The beer is appreciated in 192 countries globally and Heineken left an international benchmark of standards in Durban which the world will surely witness as the brand travels across South Africa and across the globe.
Durbanites experienced an amazing night of entertainment with a line-up of artists such as: Moonchild Sanelly, Durban’s Favourite ‘Kings of the Weekend’ DJ Spectacular and DJ Naves but show stopper Black Motion certainly stole the show with everyone on the dance floor moving to their enchanting drum beats.
Blazon Magazine had a quick interview with TV personality Minenhle Dlamini – Jones and she explained the purpose and importance of having these kinds of event.
“What this campaign is all about is bringing the world to South Africa and South Africa to the world. You don’t have to leave your country to have international quality premium beer or have the coolest parties.” she says.
A sentiment we can all agree on and we definitely cannot wait to see what more Heineken has to offer in the near future.
